all about books

Do you like to read? If you do, then awesome! I do, too, and honestly this place is where I can unleash the barricade of built-up emotion that so many tragic book gave me. If you don't, that's okay! Not everything in my website will be books. If you like to write, I will probably be posting tips (though I am no expert; you have been warned). If you like art, check out my drawings! Or maybe you are an aspiring artist but don't know how to draw hands? One of these days I will post hand gestures and many other things! (Again, be warned: I am by no means an expert and positive critique is always appreciated. If you need help with something, I can definitely try to comply!) And if you like sports, well... I certainly admire you, for the thought of running takes my breath away. I do, however play some sports (yes, I do not eat chocolate all day). For example, I like skiing and dancing. Unfortunately, the first one is a seasonal sport that I can only practice about once an year. Is music your passion? I like to sing, and technically the voice is an instrument, so... Love acting? I do, too! Yet I am an introvert, which is problematic for this path.

A little about myself

Hello! I'm Sol, a small blogger trying to squeeze into the internet! What should you know about me? Well, I read. A lot. Mostly fantasy, though I like most genres. There are few books I don't enjoy, as well as few genres I dislike. For example, I tried reading Paper Towns but I thought it was gross and quit. I never tried reading terror and horror, but I am not even slightly tempted to do so. I also love to draw. Mostly fan art, though I try to create my own pieces. I mostly work traditionally, but I am trying to learn how to draw digitally! Well, I also love writing. Acting, singing and dancing are things I enjoy vastly but I don't have much time to practice them, unfortunately. My favourite series and books include Camp Half-Blood Chronicles by Rick Riordan, Shadowhunter Chronicles by Cassandra Clare, The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer, Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling, A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas, I'll Give you the Sun by Jandy Nelson, Simon vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli, Everything, everything by Nicola Yoon, and many, many more!

5 STARS

I loved the story and characters. Most likely books that gave me strong emotions, made me fangirl like crazy, gave me a "book hangover", or made me think.

4 STARS

I liked the story and characters, but didn't love them. It didn't captivate me from the very beginning, but it was really good nevertheless!

3 STARS

Could have been better. I either didn't like the plot or the characters, or maybe it was just a slow book. There were good things, and I liked it, but has room for improvement.

2 STARS

Shoot. The plot and/or characters were flat and boring. Or maybe just annoying. The story might have been slow. I didn't hate it though, but I didn't like it.

1 STAR

Don't waste your time in this book. It was boring, slow, and had flat and annoying characters. I absolutely hated it but I liked it enough to finish it.

BLANK

I did not finish this book because it was either not appropiate for my age, was too slow, or was just way too boring.
